Bulletin Board

As a couple of busy moms in Hawaii juggling work, kids, and husbands (not necessarily in that order), we figured what better way to fill up our 15 minutes of spare time each day than by doing a blog. It’s not like we have anything better to do with our time and how hard can it be right? Well, Karen and I have been working on this endeavor for a while now and we are still figuring out how this blog works, how to update our site via the wonderful world of html code, and how to navigate the maze of the blogosphere.  Meanwhile, laundry is piling up, toilets are crusting over, the kids are looking a little grimy and the husbands are forced to entertain themselves (we don’t ask what they are doing).

As you can tell, there is no real direction for our blog and it looks like there will be no direction in the near future. Our main motivation for doing this was to chronicle our lives as busy mamas and talk about what has helped to make our lives a little easier and a little more enjoyable. We do not profess to be experts on anything (although I must say I’m pretty good at pretending I can’t smell a dirty diaper so my husband ends up changing it – I know, it’s a gift). Lord knows we flounder along like so many other mothers out there and look to our close-knit group of friends for advice and support. When possible we will recruit our busy mama friends to contribute to this blog to offer their reviews, finds and suggestions. Our reviews are based purely on personal opinion and not on paid solicitations. We welcome your comments and questions so please drop us a note!

  • You guys did a great job with this website. Keep it up! Also, could you please add some crock pot recipes to your site?

  • DOP, thanks for visiting us. Crockpot recipes on the way so come back again soon.

  • What a great idea! Love this website! Hey, do you guys have any ideas on how to entertain and feed 20 people? My family has decided to come and stay with us for Thanksgiving weekend. Any ideas on what you can cook in advance to make Thanksgiving day a little less hectic? How in the heck am I going to squeeze 20 people in here? Slumber party!!! Any suggestions would be great!

  • I suggest lots and lots of booze. Not for you but for your guests. By the time cocktail hour is over they’ll be so toasted that they won’t even notice what you’re serving. Turkey or KFC, it’s all the same! Seriously though, we’re working on getting our Thanksgiving posts up soon. Thanks for the feedback!

  • Congratulations on your beautiful website! I loved reading (and laughing with) each and every article. Keep up the great work because I’ll be checking back often!

  • Thanks LKO, we’re glad you’ve joined us!

  • Thanks to LKO for sharing this website with her fellow baby hui moms! I’ve enjoyed reading all your blogs. Love the the stories, the advice, and everything else, but especially the humor! Mahalo for putting this out. I’ll be sure to share this with other moms that could use a good laugh, and some interesting ideas.

  • Hi Zach’s Mom! Thanks for checking us out and for your kind feedback. We hope to expand our circle of busy mama friends so the referrals are much appreciated (thanks LKO!). We want everyone to feel free to provide their advice and suggestions as well so comments are always welcome!

  • Do you have an e-mail where I can send story ideas from time to time?
