Take and Toss Cups by The First Years
February 19th, 2008
I love Take & Toss cups. If I could throw out all of my dishes and use Take & Toss I would do it (well, not really, but I could if I wanted to). These cups are meant to be disposable but are also durable enough so you can reuse them over and over again. They come in 7-ounce and 10-ounce sizes and are available with a sippy spout or a straw. Cost is very reasonable with the average price being around $3 for a pack of 7 (7-ounce cups) or 5 (10-ounce cups). If you hand wash them they can last for months, but if you want to toss it, it won’t break the bank.
What makes these cups so great is that they hold up well to a lot of abuse and don’t leak much even though they don’t have any valves. Unless of course your child turns it over and shakes it like a salt shaker – which my son likes to do while riding in the car. Don’t ask me what he’s doing back there. Even if the cup is dropped (or thrown…not that that has happened around here) the lid stays on!
Take & Toss cups are great to have when you’re out and about and are especially perfect for traveling. Usually when we go out of town we pack a couple of cups just to get us through the flight, then make a point of hitting the store once we arrive at our destination to stock up on our kiddie supplies.
The First Years also has a big line of other Take & Toss products including utensils, snack cups, sectioned bowls and baby bottles that are all very handy. Some stores also carry a big selection of character Take & Toss items including Sesame Street, Thomas & Friends, Spiderman & Friends, Disney Princess and Disney Cars. These cute yet practical items can make wonderful birthday party favors if you fill them with little treats and goodies. And, gasp…they even have large 19- or 28-piece variety packs! Perfect for a birthday or shower gift. You can just sense my excitement can’t you? That’s cause I need to get a life.
