Thermos Funtainer

I discovered these cool food containerswhile surfing the web one day and thought they would be great for the kids. Unfortunately they cannot be found anywhere in Hawaii (there’s a lot of cool things we can’t find here, what’s up with that?) and I didn’t really feel like paying for the shipping. So when we went on our big trip the other month I made a point to look for it on the mainland. I found some at Target (I loove Target. Target is my friend.) in Las Vegas and had a hard time deciding which ones to get, so I got a whole bunch.

Funtainers are available as a short, squatty food jar(approximately 5 inches tall by 4 inches wide) and a tall bottle(approximately 7 inches tall by 3 inches wide). They come in a variety of designs including Disney Cars, Spiderman, Batman, Disney princess, Barbie and Hello Kitty. These containers are perfect for your child’s school lunch since it will keep the food warm for hours the size is just right for smaller appetites.

During my daughter’s first year of preschool she went through a period of not wanting to eat the school lunch and begged me to pack one from home for her. Let me tell you, it was a pain in the butt, but that’s what we busy moms do for our kids…bend over backwards and grumble like hell while we do it (To ourselves of course. And maybe the spouse. Okay, to anyone who will listen.). I struggled trying to come up with lunch ideas (especially since there’s no way to heat up the food) and find the right container to put it in until another mom in her class told me about the Thermos food jar. It was just what I was looking for, although a little plain and industrial looking. What’s great about the Funtainer is that it’s a pimped out version of that original food jar. Your kids will love taking these containers to school and they make lunchtime so easy that you’ll love them as well.
