My boys love to help out in the kitchen once in a while so I do what I can to encourage it. Let’s face it, they will need to know how to cook themselves a meal when they leave home and can’t be running back to mommy every time they get hungry. And I definitely don’t want them to grow up thinking that only women cook and belong in the kitchen while they sit in front of the TV (despite the example that is being set for them by cough, cough TSO cough, cough).

I found the Kid’s Kitchen Tools Set in the Faves section of an issue of Every Day with Rachael Ray so ordered them from Williams-Sonoma for Christmas. The set comes with a grater that is safe for kids, and a silicone spatula and whisk. The tools are easy for little hands to use and come in different colors, all bright and fun (green, red, orange, and yellow).
